About our logo

The CHATS logo is designed by Zheng Yi, a year 4 student from Hwa Chong Institution.

The logo was conceptualised based on these main ideas:

• The five humanlike figures represent the five schools who pioneered this event. The figures are connected and surround the name of the event to represent the collaboration amongst the schools in scientific research.
  
• The "star" created by the connecting figures represents the strive for excellence in scientific research through the sharing of ideas.
  
• The colour red represents the passion of our students for Science.
  
• The figures raise their hands to show willingness to share as well as the youthfulness and energy of the young minds that our schools nurture.
  
• One figure is taking a leap to represent a person who is sharing and he ie being supported by the rest of the participants.
